Costa Rica Hacienda Sonora 100% ARABICA
Hacienda Sonora is located at the foot of the Poás volcano. The farm runs on 100% renewable energy, generated by a hydroelectric turbine that transforms the flow of a nearby river into electricity. This clean energy powers both the wet and dry mills, and also provides free electricity to everyone who lives and works on the farm.
Hacienda Sonora has its own micro-mill, allowing it to process different coffee varieties separately and create unique micro-lots. The mill stands at the heart of the farm, right next to a traditional sugar cane mill that has been preserved in its original state for over 150 years.
Dark grape, rosehip, and white chocolate – these are the flavour notes you’ll find in this coffee, thanks to none other than our head roaster Pavel.
It’s wonderfully fruity and suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.
