Zambia Kateshi 100% ARABICA
Kateshi Coffee Farm, one of the first coffee farms in Zambia, was established in 1972 near the village of Kateshi. At that time, its wet processing facility formed the heart of coffee production in Northern Zambia and served as a central mill for all coffee produced in the region. The farm has also received awards – its natural and honey-processed coffees won 1st and 2nd place in the annual Zambia Taste of Harvest competition.
Kateshi has been recognized for boldly challenging gender stereotypes in Zambia – it is the first and only coffee farm employing women in traditionally male roles, such as operating tractors, bulldozers, and road graders. It also sponsors the Kateshi Coffee Bullets, a football team playing in Zambia’s top league.
