Honduras El Primo
Finca El Primo – Honduras Honey comes from the Las Flores region of Santa Bárbara and is cultivated by Nahun Fernández at an altitude of 1600 meters. Nahun has been managing the farm since he was 16 years old and is now recognized as one of the region’s respected specialty coffee producers. This lot combines the Catuai and Parainema varieties and was processed using the honey method – with selective handpicking, fermentation, and drying on African beds.
In the cup, a fresh lime-like acidity takes the lead, rounded by sweet banana and deep cocoa notes reminiscent of chocolate gingerbread. The coffee feels juicy, with low bitterness and a pleasantly balanced, medium-sweet profile. A score of 85.25 reflects its cleanliness and careful processing. We roast it for filter – perfect for V60, Chemex, batch brew, or AeroPress.
